Column formwork is a type of concrete formwork. A concrete form is a mold made of steel, aluminum, wood, plastic, or other materials in which wet concrete is poured to achieve the shape and size required for construction. It is important to know the installation and preservation of column formwork.

The installation of column formwork

1. The interior of the column formwork shall be cleaned. The sundries left in the column formwork will cause defects such as slag inclusion in the concrete. To clear the inside of the column formwork, a cleaning opening should be reserved.

2. When erecting the column formwork, reserved holes should be fixed at the same time, without leaving behind, the size should meet the requirements, and the installation should be firm. The deviation conforms to the acceptance specification.

3. The column formwork shall be painted with an isolating agent. When painting, select an oily isolating agent that will not affect the structure and hinder the construction of decoration works. At the same time, it is necessary to avoid contaminating the reinforcement during the coating process because the barrier can contaminate the reinforcement and concrete joints, which may have a significant negative effect on the mechanical properties of the concrete structure.

4. For multi-story cast-in-place structures, the superstructure formwork and support must be supported on the lower floor. At this time, we should pay attention to three points: first, the lower layer should have sufficient bearing capacity and be supported if necessary; second, the columns of the upper and lower supports should be aligned; third, the bottom plate should be laid below the support column. In the construction, the requirement of laying the bottom plate is not only applicable to the floor but also to the building formwork column installed on the ground.

5. The joints of column formworkshall not leak: the leakage of building formwork will cause a honeycomb and pitted surface of concrete appearance, which will directly affect the quality of concrete. Therefore, no matter what material is used to make the column formwork, its joints shall be tight without mortar leakage. When using wood column formwork, the joints of large building formwork should not be too dry and tight due to the water absorption of wood, and Water should be poured after installation to close the wood joints. It is enough to be wet when watering, and there should be no water in the column formwork.

The preservation of column formwork

The column formwork shall be thoroughly cleaned with a scraper immediately after the removal of the column formwork, which is convenient for recycling; If the column formwork needs to be stored for a long time, it should be coated with oil on its surface, stacked neatly and covered with rain cloth; During transportation and storage, avoid the deformation and aging of formwork caused by the sun; Finally, on the construction site, the column formwork should be stored in a flat and dry place, and must not be placed in places with extreme temperature and humidity.
